Read, think, and share ideas about great books! This month, we're talking about Squished by Megan Wagner Lloyd. For kids 4th grade and older.

All 15 participants to register will receive a free copy of the book, generously purchased by the Friends of the Library. You must attend the book club meeting in order to keep the book.

Additional copies are available for checkout at BPL and on the Libby app.

Book Summary: 

Eleven-year-old Avery Lee loves living in Hickory Valley, Maryland. She loves her neighborhood, school, and the end-of-summer fair she always goes to with her two best friends. BUT- she's tired of feeling squished by her six siblings! They're noisy and chaotic and the younger kids love her just a little too much. All Avery wants is her own room- her own space to be alone and make art, so she furious when her grumpy older brother Theo gets his own room instead and her wild baby brother Max moves into the room she's already sharing with her clingy little sister, Pearl! 

Avery hatches a plan to get her own room, all while trying to get Max to sleep at night, navigating changes in her friendships, and working on an art entry for the fair. When Avery finds out that her whole family might be moving across the country, things get even more complicated that Avery could have imagined.

Main Street in Bentonville, Arkansas.
