Neighborhood Gardening Series: Part 1
Join us for a presentation from Pollinator Partnership on how to incorporate native plants in your yard!
NWA is expected to grow by 83.4% by 2045! That’s around 443,000 new people. Now, in the image you now have in your mind of that – see all the residential? All those yards can fill a niche of either feeding or not feeding wildlife. Please join us in a discussion about how homeowners can incorporate natives into their landscapes while being mindful of neighbors who might have concerns about the different aesthetic of natives. We’ll discuss ideas for transforming your yard from non-natives to AR-natives. We’ll parley ideas for encouraging and allowing native plantings in your neighborhood. A fantastic unexpected result of doing so is that while planting natives with these methods, you will be helping to create a Sense of Place and Small-Town-Feeling within your neighborhood!
