A discussion of a people displaced, in search of belonging, in their own words.
Please join us for an engaging discussion with the artist, Tram Colwin of the exhibit, What We Carry along with selected refugee participants and a representative from Canopy NWA, in a moderated Q&A session. What We Carry is a collection of watercolor still-life paintings of items that local immigrants and refugees carried with them on their journey to America. The discussion will explore the inspiration behind the artworks, the collaboration process, and the stories of resilience and hope shared by the refugees. The Q&A session will begin with a series of prepared questions directed at the artist, selected refugee participants, and a representative from Canopy NWA. For the second half of the session, the panelists will respond to questions from the audience.
