Please join us for an educational and engaging event hosted by the University of Arkansas' Extension Office of Family and Consumer Science focusing on snacks for seniors! Since snacks are an important part of a healthy lifestyle, we will discuss the benefits of smart snack choices for seniors. Up-to-date research-based information, snack options, and recipes will be provided. In addition, we will provide a food demonstration and tasting for all to enjoy!
About the Presenter:
Trudy McManus is the County Extension Agent for the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS), which is part of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture's Cooperative Extension Service. This is all part of the land-grant system that focuses on the human dimensions of food and agriculture. Through the application of scientific research, outreach education and partnerships, FCS helps families and consumers make informed decisions that enhance quality of life and well-being.
Bentonville Public Library is a department of the City of Bentonville. Bentonville Public Library is located just 3 blocks south of the Downtown Square, at 405 S. Main Street in Bentonville, Arkansas. Facility amenities include adult collection, children's and teen spaces, private study rooms, event spaces, makerspace and digital lab, genealogy research center, sensory and wellness room, business centers, book club lounge, and café.
