Adult Arts & Crafts Workshop
Come craft with us for Hispanic Heritage Month and create a traditional Mexican "alebrije," a magical and mythological painted animal figurine based on native folklore. Similar to the character Pepita in the Disney movie Coco, alebrijes are a Mexican craft traditionally carved from wood and painted in bright colors and interesting patterns. We'll be discovering how we can upcycle toys to make a menagerie of brightly colored alebrijes.
This class is open to Adults 18+.
